As we head towards the end of the year, we just wanted to recognise all of the support that we have received from you on social media, in particular the shares of our missing appeals.

Chief Inspector James Woolley, from the Missing From Home Team, said: "Unfortunately there are many reasons why people of all ages and from all walks of life go missing. However, a large amount of these people are either found or return home as a result of you sharing our appeals and I want to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you for your continued support.

"While in an ideal world there would be no need for us to have a Missing From Home Team, your help is invaluable and I would ask that you continue to share, support and spread the word when helping us to locate vulnerable people, so that they can continue to get the help that they need. At Christmas, and all through the year, every time you share an appeal, it increases the chances of bringing someone home to their loved ones.”

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
