Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in Lenton.

At about 9pm yesterday (Thursday 11 October 2018) a man entered a property in Johnson Road through an insecure ground floor window. He stole an Apple laptop before running out of the house.

The offender is described as Asian or of dual heritage. He is aged 26-27, is of average height and slim build and has short hair.

Police Constable James Wilde, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and I’d appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time, or who has any information that can assist our enquiries, to contact us on 101.

"Also if anyone has bought or been offered an Apple laptop for sale please get in touch.

"I'd like to remind residents to make sure that wherever possible you never leave doors or windows insecure and don’t give burglars an easy opportunity to access your property.

"Also make sure you don't leave any valuables on show and keep your house and car keys safe and out of sight."

Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 932 of 11 October 2018, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
