Teenager arrested over Sutton-in-Ashfield stabbing is bailed

A teenager arrested in connection with a stabbing in Sutton-In-Ashfield has been released on conditional bail.

Paramedics were called to Bishop Street just before 12.30am today yesterday (Wednesday 11 July) and found a 38-year-old man with stab wounds.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Our enquiries are ongoing. It’s believed the victim was stabbed in Northwood Avenue before making his way to Bishop Street.

A 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been released on conditional bail.
