Appeal after distraction burglary in Clifton

Officers are appealing for information after a 68-year-old woman was the victim of a distraction burglary.

She found one man in her back garden and he distracted her by saying she needed a new water pipe, while another entered her home. A third man waited in a vehicle outside.

The incident happened in Stanesby Rise, Clifton, at around 3.15pm yesterday (20 April 2017). It is not believed anything was taken.

The men were seen to be using a grey 53 plate vehicle which has been described as a Renault or a Citroen.
