Police warning over Worksop drugs
Posted on 18th August 2010
Police have received information to suggest potentially harmful drugs normally used in the medical profession are being sold in the Worksop area.
The drugs, which are usually found in hospital theatres or in A and E, are in vials in liquid form and would be administered through a needle. They are called: tracrium, atracurium, and atracurium besylate.
Worksop PC Tracey Pavey said: “People may be using these drugs recreationally. They are usually administered by a trained medical professional and could be extremely harmful if not used correctly.
“We believe the drugs may be being sold in and around Worksop and I would urge anyone who knows who is selling them to please contact police.”
Anyone with information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
