Police Community Support Officer injured in collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Police Community Support Officer was injured in a collision in Nottingham yesterday (March 18).
It happened in Vernon Road, Old Basford, at around 3pm. The PCSO was injured by a moped or scooter as it passed him on the footbridge crossing the tram track from Nottingham Road to Vernon Road.
The driver of the dark-coloured vehicle failed to stop and rode off in the direction of the Davids Lane tram crossing.
The injured male PCSO was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises. He was discharged from hospital later that day.
Police are treating this as a serious incident and are appealing for the public’s help to trace the rider, either through witnesses who saw what happened or anyone who knows the person involved.
