Police Constable Degree Apprenticeships

PCDA April 2019 Recruitment for February 2020

Nottinghamshire Police was one of the first forces to introduce a cohort of Police Constable Apprentices. This is a national programme with the curriculum set by the College of Policing.

We will open for recruitment from early April until 3 May 2019 with our next cohort starting in February 2020. The apprentices will go through PC recruitment and will be sworn in as Police officers. They will have a mixture of operational and academic training. The Core Policing training will be delivered by our Police Trainers. At Derbyshire University subjects such as the history of policing and evidence based policing, will be covered. The degree earned through the Apprenticeship will be a BA in Policing.

We are looking for talented individuals, in particular from our diverse local communities who are mature, highly motivated team players, with a good moral compass.

The Apprenticeship is open to anyone over the age of 18 plus.

Apprentices will be paid an apprentices wage of £18k, with an incremental increase until completion of the degree. This is an amazing opportunity where you study towards your degree and all successful candidates will have ‘no tuition fees’ therefore this is truly an ‘earn while you learn’.
