Police Staff Roles

Our police staff work side by side with police officers and make a real difference to people’s lives. There are many vital roles carried out by police staff, from taking the 999 calls, managing detained persons in our custody suites, digital media investigators through to managing our workforce in People Services and finance.

Whether you are just starting out, or looking to retrain or change career, working with us offers a varied and rewarding career in a fast paced environment. Eligibility Requirements

Nationality and residency

All applicants must:

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Be a United Kingdom, European Union or commonwealth citizen, with no restrictions on your stay in the United Kingdom
  • Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should have resided there for the 3 years immediately preceding your application
