Nottinghamshire Police's Domestic Abuse Action Plan 2016-17

Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) carried out an inspection of the approach taken to domestic abuse by all police forces in England and Wales during 2014.
Amongst the recommendations made by HMIC in their final report – Everyone’s business, improving the police response to domestic abuse – was the requirement for all forces to carry out a review of their approach to domestic abuse and publish a copy of the resulting action plan.
Nottinghamshire Police has carried out a thorough review of its approach to domestic abuse, using a capability framework provided by the College of Policing, and this Action Plan is the result.
The Assistant Chief Constable (Specialist Services) has overall responsibility for delivery of this Action Plan, which has been reviewed and updated as of July 2016.
