Former Police Constable
5th January 2024
Accelerated Misconduct Hearing
The former officer breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour when, following a driving incident he was involved in whilst off duty in Nottingham in May 2022, he commenced an investigation into an allegation of a driving offence upon his return to duty when he ought to have known it was inappropriate for him to do so due to a very clear conflict of interest and also in being dishonest and misleading to the other parties involved as to the availability of CCTV footage of the incident.
Gross misconduct found
Would have been dismissed if still remained employed.
