Nature of the misconduct allegation
In brief outline, it is alleged that the officer was dishonest with a number of agencies including his motor insurance provider and the DVLA.
This involved withholding information that could affect the officer being able to drive a motor vehicle, which he did so between 8 February 2023 and 23 May 2024. This related solely to the use of a personal vehicle.
The misconduct hearing was held in private due to the medical history of the officer involved being referred to throughout the hearing.
