Nature of the misconduct allegation
On 13 December 2023, PC Shekelton attended an incident where it was alleged by Person B that she was being held in her flat by her ex-partner against her will. Person B’s ex-partner (Person C) was in an adjacent room at the premises. PC Shekelton allowed the suspect (Person C) to leave the scene.
PC Shekelton later made an evidential statement relating to this incident which was false.
