Police officer recruitment

If you think you’ve got what it takes to become a police officer, Nottinghamshire Police wants to hear from you.

Police officer recruitment opens soon. Please check the website and social media regularly for updates.

We want to recruit talented people with a diverse range of skills and experience who are committed to making a difference to the communities that we serve.

Recruiting from the widest pool of people will mean we recruit individuals who can speak other languages, understand other cultures and lifestyles and are willing to use those skills to the benefit of the community and the organisation.  A more diverse workforce will build trust and confidence across communities, leading to sharing of information and closer working.

We are not yet fully representative and we are working to address this imbalance.  If you are from an under-represented group, we fully encourage you to consider joining our policing family. To find out more about the support we can offer please contact Jo Ratchford at: hr.positiveaction@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk  or via text to 07595008494.

People from a black and minority ethnic background including, our eastern European and Chinese communities, and people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans+ communities are currently under-represented within Nottinghamshire Police.
