April 2021

In consultation with our partners a virtual priority settings meeting was held on 21st of April 2021 . As a result of that it was agreed that the local Policing Priority would change to Anti Social Behaviour for the City west Area , with a particular focus on off road motor bikes .

The use of these bikes on public open spaces is a danger and nuisance to residents , users of open spaces and indeed to the riders themselves who are often young people and ride without the relevant protective equipment . We will enforce all relevent laws and legislation and seize bikes where a power to do so excists .

We will be looking at using various resources to tackle the issues across the area including the Police Off road bike team , drone team , City West Reacher team , response and neighbourhood teams .

We will work with Nottingham City Community Protection and explore all the civil Powers they have at there disposal including Public Space Protection Orders for areas like Broxtowe Country Park that is a particular hot spot .

In addition we will target areas that are experiencing on street ASB and look to signpost to youth provisions across the areas , educate parents and work within schools to divert young people from this behaviour .
