Detectives investigating a report of aggravated burglary are appealing for information and witnesses after elderly residents were tied up.

Police were called to Spring Hill at around 3am on Friday 16 October when two men were reported to have entered a house and bound the hands of a 76-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman before taking cash, jewellery items and a van from the property.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 1.30am and 3am, detectives have been working tirelessly to establish the circumstances.

Detective Sergeant Luke Todd, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are looking to speak with a white man, described to be in his early 30s and around 6ft 2ins tall and another white man described to be in his early 50s who is around 5ft 8ins tall, in connection with the incident. We believe they have left the area in a small white van.

“Clearly, this would have been a terrifying incident for the victims and we are doing everything we can to find those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard something suspicious that evening to get in touch as soon as possible.

“Anything information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, could help us find who did this.”
