Arrest after swift response to attempted burglary

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Officers were quickly on the scene after a resident reported disturbing someone trying to break into their house in Beaulieu Gardens, West Bridgford, at around 4.25am today (Friday 4 January).

A police dog and handler also attended the incident and after a pursuit on foot arrested a 15-year-old boy in Ruddington Lane, Compton Acres. He is currently being questioned in connection with the incident.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or has any information, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 68 of 4 January 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
