Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the report.

The incident is thought to have happened between in Retford cemetery between 3.30pm - 4pm on Thursday 12 December 2019.

Officers believe the man in the video may be able to assist them with their investigation and ask that if this is you, or anyone recognises this man, to get in touch as soon as possible

Detective Constable Naomi Spencer, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a complex investigation that requires a thorough approach. We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry to establish who committed this serious offence”

“We believe that we are looking to speak to a white man, aged 19 to 25 years, approximately 5’11 tall, of slim build with no facial hair.

“He is described to have been wearing dark blue jeans and black hood attached to a jacket at the time of incident.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man in the footage or the man described to speak to us.

“Did you notice anything out of the ordinary? Did you see something that has played on your mind since that day? Any detail, no matter how small could help us find who did this.

“If you have any information, witnessed something or have dashcam footage of the man in the video, please do not hesitate to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 424 of 13 December 2019.
