Eagle-eyed officers arrest wanted man after attending Sherwood incident

Eagle-eyed officers have arrested a wanted man after responding to reports of threatening behaviour at a bank in Sherwood today (Friday 22 November 2019).

Officers were called to the Lloyds Bank on Mansfield Road just before 9.10am, where it was reported that a man was threatening to damage property within the bank.

While officers were dealing with the incident they spotted another man who was wanted for a number of other offences unrelated to the original report.

The 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery, child abduction, assault, assaulting police with intent to resist arrest, theft of a motor vehicle and failing to attend court. He remains in custody.

The other man who was reportedly being abusive in the bank was given advice by officers regarding his language and behaviour towards staff.
