An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a firearms incident in Hucknall.

It follows a report that a shot had been fired in Green Close at around midday on Thursday (25 June).

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence and possession of class B drugs in the early hours of this morning (28 June).

Weapons have been recoverd from a property which will now form part of the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Dave Prest said: "This was an isolated incident where it's believed a shot was fired in order to scare another individual. We've been working around the clock to track down a suspect, resulting in a search being carried in the early hours of this morning and a man being arrested as our enquiries continue. We won't tolerate gun crime in Nottinghamshire."
