Investigation after man suffers stab wounds

Detectives are investigating after a man suffered stab wounds.

It is believed the victim was attacked at his home in Langtry Grove, New Basford, during the early hours of today (Friday 14 January 2022). 

He attended hospital at around 2.30am. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives are continuing with their enquiries to establish the circumstances and reassurance patrols have been stepped up in the area while the investigation continues.

Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working hard to understand the circumstances relating to both of these incidents and as part of those enquiries we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or has any information which could help us with our investigation.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have recorded dash-cam or CCTV footage in these areas which may assist us.

“I’d like to reassure people that the force treats all reports of weapon-enabled crime and violence with the utmost seriousness and we will take robust action against those involved in violence of this nature.”
