Man allegedly attacked with guitar and scissors in house

Detectives have appealed for information after a man was allegedly hit with a guitar in Beeston.

Nottinghamshire Police responded to a report of robbery at an address in Anderson Crescent at around 5pm last night (Tuesday 12 January 2021).

In the incident, it is alleged that a man assaulted the victim with a guitar, and threatened him with scissors after gaining access to his property before fleeing the scene.

It is unknown if anything was taken at this stage and detectives have now launched an investigation to establish the circumstances.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are making enquiries into this report and would appeal to anyone who may have seen something suspicious to get in touch.

“Robbery is a serious offence and we take all reports very seriously and will investigate incidents thoroughly.

“We will always take appropriate action against those who are found to have committed such offences.

“I’d ask that anyone who has any information about this incident to get in touch as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident number 453 of 12 January 2021.”
