Man charged after officer injured

A man has been charged after an officer was injured while making an arrest.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called at around 2am yesterday (29 July) to a report of an incident in Thorneywood Rise in Thorneywood, Nottingham.

Officers were kicked and punched by a man when they attended the incident. One officer received a fractured thumb and all involved officers are receiving support.

Michael Green, 43, of Thorneywood Rise, Nottingham, has been charged with causing actual bodily harm and causing fear or provocation of violence. He has been remanded in custody and the date of his next court appearance is not yet know.
