Man charged in connection with assault on paramedic

A 30-year-old man is due to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court charged in connection with a report of assault on a paramedic.

Nottinghamshire Police was called to Dallas Street in Mansfield at around 6.35pm yesterday evening after a paramedic was reported to have been pushed by person in a flat.

Kenny Stevenson, 30, of Dallas Street, Mansfield, is charged with assaulting an emergency worker in connection with the report.

Stevenson has been released on bail pending his court appearance on 7 August 2020.

Inspector Nick Butler, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Assaults on emergency workers are totally unacceptable and we will deal robustly and take positive action when it comes to when it comes to reports made to us.

“We will investigate any report of assaulting on an emergency worker thoroughly and will always look to take action against those who commit such offences.”
