A man is due to appear in court after being charged with drug offences.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine) and also criminal damage to a police cell.

Bradley Hardy, 20 of Willowbridge Court in Sutton-in-Ashfield  has been remanded in custody and is due in Nottingham Crown Court tomorrow (23 November 2020).

Hardy was arrested after officers from the force's Knife Crime Team spotted a man in the area and conducted a stop search.

Neighbourhood Inspector Mark Dickson said: "Nottinghamshire Police takes drugs offences very seriously and will thoroughly investigate all reports made.

"This was an excellent spot and arrest by the Knife Crime Team.

“We work closely with local communities to tackle drug crime and I’d encourage anyone who has any concerns in their area to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or in an emergency, dial 999.”
