A man has been charged following a stabbing in Forest Road East.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just after 3.45am on 18 July to a report that a man had been stabbed at an address in Forest Road East.

An 18-year old man was taken to hospital with injuries which were not life-threatening or life-altering.

Andrew Marshall, 32, of Oakford Close in Aspley, Nottingham, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm. He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 17 August.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, who is investigating the incident, said: “Knife crime is a priority area for Nottinghamshire Police and something that we tackle through a whole range of education programmes and enforcement action.

“While I understand the concerns that incidents such as this can cause in the community, I would like to reassure people that officers responded within minutes to ensure that there was no risk to the wider public.”
