Man charged over alleged house burglary and thefts

A man is set to appear in court charged in connection with an alleged burglary and thefts in Broxtowe.

Nottinghamshire Police received a report that a house in Tilbury Rise had been burgled during the early hours of 23 June 2020, a bicycle had been stolen and cash had been taken from a car parked on the drive.

Kyle Gill, 25, of no fixed address, has now been charged with one count of burglary and two counts of theft in relation to the report. He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 15 October 2020).

Police Constable Michael Love, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Burglary is a clear invasion of people’s homes, where they should feel their safest. 

"Burglary is a priority for Nottinghamshire Police, with dedicated burglary teams now focused on tackling and reducing burglary in the city and county.

"We want to reassure the people of Nottinghamshire that we will continue to pursue those committing burglaries and remain committed to catching those responsible and bringing them to justice."
