Nottinghamshire Police is appealing for information after an attempted garage break-in.

Officers were called just before 11.40pm on Tuesday 17 November to a report that two men had broken a lock off a garage at a house in Lombard Street in Orston, Nottinghamshire.

One of the men was described as wearing a bobble hat while the other had a torch.

The police helicopter was deployed in the search for the men. However, despite the efforts of the helicopter and officers on the ground, the men were not found.

Neighbourhood Inspector Craig Berry said: “Unfortunately despite the best efforts of officers and the assistance of the helicopter, we were not able to find those responsible for this incident on Tuesday night.

“We are continuing our enquiries including going door to door in the area, and I would encourage anyone with information to come forward.”

Anyone who has information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 736 of 17 November 2020.
