POLICE INCIDENT: Nottingham City Centre

Officers are responding alongside medical colleagues to an incident in Nottingham City Centre this evening.

At around 6.40pm today (Friday 11 January 2019) Officers received reports of a disturbance in Fletcher Gate.

Officers attended and found two men with serious injuries thought to be sustained by a knife.

Both men have been taken to hospital.

The area surrounding Halifax Place is currently affected by road closures police cordons including Fletcher Gate, Pilcher Gate and High Pavement.

We advise the public and motorists to avoid those areas.

It is likely that you will see a higher presence of officers as an investigation is launched to establish what has taken place.
