Police launch attempted murder investigation after stabbing

Detectives are investigating after a man suffered stab wounds to his back and face in the Alfreton Road area of Nottingham.

Officers were called to the incident at 10.05pm yesterday (Thursday 19 November) after a 24-year-old man had been taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with serious injuries

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow of Nottinghamshire police, said: "We have been working on this case through the night and are actively seeking two suspects.

"We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious or who might have any information that could help, no matter how small, to get in touch with us.

"Our thorough enquiries continue today and a scene is in place as we work to bring those behind the attack to justice."
