Officers responding to a report of a collision in Home Close have made two arrests on suspicion of drug offences, after a car collided with a house just after 7pm last night (Friday 8 November).

Nottinghamshire Police attended alongside colleagues from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service, while the local council worked to assess the damage to the property.

A 44-year old woman - believed to be the driver of the vehicle involved - was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through being under the influence of drugs.

A 42-year old man, a pedestrian who was in the area at the time of the incident, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

Both remain in custody this morning.

Officers' enquiries are continuing their enquiries, with anyone with any information asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 837 of 8 November.
