UPDATE: Boy, 15, charged in connection with Broxtowe stabbing

Police have charged a 15-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing in Broxtowe.

The boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has been charged with wounding with intent, threatening a person with a bladed/sharply pointed article in a public place, possession of a bladed/sharply pointed article in a public place and possession of cannabis.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday 11 February 2019).

Officers were called to reports that a man had been stabbed in the back in Dulverton Vale at around 1.15pm on Friday (8 February 2019).

The 20-year-old victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with serious injuries. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Officers recovered two knives while carrying out searches in local woodland yesterday (Saturday 9 February 2019).
