Update: Sentencing of former police officer who committed child sex offences

A former Nottinghamshire police officer has been given an eight month sentence suspended for 24 months after admitting a number of child sex offences.

Lee Bowditch, 48, appeared at Leicester Crown Court today (Tuesday 12 March 2019) having previously pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images of children and two counts of attempting to engage a child in sexual communication.

The former Newark officer was also given a 10 year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
