The force have recieved a lot of calls this morning regarding the wet weather and officers continue to work closely with the local Fire Service.

We are asking the general public to only call the control room in an emergency.

There is flooding in areas throughout the county today, if you have concerns and you are at risk of flooding please visit the Nottinghamshire County Council advice page: https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/flooding/preparing

With the wet weather set to continue throughout the day, if you're driving please leave plenty of time for your journey so you can take it easy on your trip.

Also, leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front to allow for wet, slippery surfaces.

If in doubt, don’t go out. If the journey is not essential then leave it for a day when the conditions are better.

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
