Woman arrested after distraction burglary in Radford

A woman has been arrested in connection with a distraction burglary in Radford.

A woman tricked her way into a 72-year-old woman’s flat, asking to use the toilet and then requesting food, before stealing a quantity of cash from the victim’s purse.

It happened at a property In Portland Road at about 6.15am yesterday (Monday 12 March 2019).

A 40-year-old woman was arrested yesterday on suspicion of burglary. She remains in police custody.
