Woman charged over St Ann's incident is remanded in custody

A woman has appeared in court charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following a report of an incident in St Ann's.

Tanya Broughton, 37, of no fixed address, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today. She is also charged with theft.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 13 May 2019.

The charges are in relation to a report of a man being punched and then stabbed in the chest during an incident which happened at an address in Vickers Street at around 12.53pm yesterday (Sunday 14 April 2019).

The victim required hospital treatment but thankfully his injuries were not serious.
