Police release CCTV images after man injured in fight

Police investigating an altercation in the street have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to.

A man was left with facial injuries after a fight involving a group of people in Castle Gate, Newark.

Officers have been carrying out inquiries and studying CCTV of the incident, which took place on 16 July 2023 at around 2.55am.

They are now in a position to release these images of two men who could hold important information.

Police Constable John Chappell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim has been left with nasty facial injuries so we are determined to track down those responsible.

“We have tried various methods to identify these men and are now making a public appeal.

“Anyone who knows these two men or has any information about the incident should get in touch immediately.

“I would also urge anyone involved in the incident to do the right thing and come forward so we can take their account.”
