The incident happened on Sunday 14 July in the Bierkeller pub in Friar Lane at around 9.55pm.
A 31-year-old man was smashed over the head with a bottle and received medical treatment at the scene.
The suspect then left the pub with a friend.
Police attended the pub shortly after the incident was reported and a number of lines of inquiry have been carried out.
So far, no arrests have been made.
