Police investigating an assault have released an image of a man they would like to speak with.
The victim, a woman in her twenties, was in Waverley Street, in The Arboretum area of Nottingham, at about 12.45am on Wednesday 14 August when she was approached by a man who tried to grab her.
The victim pushed him away and the man then spat in her direction. Her clothing was also ripped during the altercation.
Officers believe the man pictured in this image may be able to help with their investigation and have asked anyone who knows him to come forward.
They would also like to trace witnesses who came to the aid of the young woman.
PC Sarah Gooch, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was an extremely upsetting incident for the woman involved and we are determined to track down the person responsible.
“We have reviewed a large amount of CCTV footage and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the person in this image, who we would like to speak to.”
Anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 23 of 14 August 2024.
