Police found suspected heroin after searching a suspect wanted for smashing a window.
Officers from the Bassetlaw Operation Reacher team attended an address in Mount Road, Balderton, near Newark, on Sunday (6 August) at around 12.40pm to arrest a suspect following the criminal damage incident.
A woman who arrived at the property a short time later was detained.
When officers looked in a bag they found wraps of cannabis and a further search of the house uncovered suspected heroin.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and criminal damage.
The window had been smashed at an address in Balderton on 4 August at around 9.50am when a wrench was used to put it through.
Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Searches of both individuals and properties are an important part of police work and in this case officers have found and seized a quantity of drugs which we can now destroy.
“I am also pleased a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of these very serious offences but our investigation continues.
“As a force we continue to work hard every day to catch suspected drug dealers, place them before the courts and seize and destroy the drugs they try to peddle to vulnerable people in our communities.”
