Man to appear in court over fatal collision

A 48-year-old man has been summonsed to court to face a charge of causing the death of a married mum-of-two by dangerous driving.

Aimi McCaffery, aged 46, from Cropwell Butler, died after she was hit by a BMW on Radcliffe Road, Cropwell Butler, at around 8.50am on 15 May 2022, despite the efforts of passers-by and the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Glen Widdowson, of Addington Court, Radcliffe-on-Trent, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 20 July 2023.

Aimi’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers and have requested privacy at this difficult time.
