A pair of suspects have appeared before magistrates after being charged with two city centre robberies.
The first incident took place in Castle Boulevard at around 9pm on 31 August 2023 when a man and a woman reported being threatened by two men while waiting at a bus stop.
The male victim was punched in the face before both managed to get on a bus and leave the scene.
The second robbery took place on 15 September at around 10.20pm when a vulnerable young man was attacked by two men at a bus stop in George Street.
The victim suffered injuries after being stamped on following a struggle in which one of the attackers tried to take his bag.
Casey Mossman, aged 20, of Shakespeare Street, Nottingham, and 19-year-old Connor Pollard, of Ribblesdale Court, Chilwell, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (18 October).
Both were remanded in custody until their next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 15 November 2023.
Detective Constable Samantha Fowler, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The victims were understandably upset by these incidents so I’m pleased we have been able to charge two suspects and place them before the courts.
“We have a team of detectives working around the clock investigating robberies because we understand the impact incidents of this nature can have on victims.”
