Three people are due to appear in court after a fight involving knives in a city street.
Officers were called to Union Road, Nottingham, after a man suffered a slash wound to his hand at around 11.15pm on Saturday (21 October).
Three suspects were quickly located in a car being driven along Hartley Road, Radford, and were arrested by officers.
Twenty-one-year-old Fadle Manzar and Hammad Sajid, aged 18, both of Sophie Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have all been charged with possessing a knife in a public place and wounding with intent.
They are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (23 October).
Detectives believe there could have been a number of witnesses to the incident, due to its location, and would like to hear from anyone with information or footage.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We treat any incident involving knives extremely seriously and have been able to charge three men with serious offences.
"However, we believe there will be other witnesses to this incident who have not yet spoken to police.
“There is a large student accommodation complex close by and with it being a Saturday night there may have been a number of people out and about.
“If you have any information, or phone, CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage of the incident, please get in touch with police.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 776 of 21 October 2023, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
