Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Bakersfield.
Emergency services were called to Oakdale Road at 12.41pm today (Friday) after a man received a stab wound to his arm.
He has been taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A cordon is in place at the scene and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Chief Inspector Dean Gallacher, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are working to establish exactly what happened here and would like to speak to anyone with additional information.”
“Local residents will notice an increased police presence in the local area, but we do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.”
Anyone with additional information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 300 of 23 August or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
