The game was up for a drug dealer after officers were alerted to suspicious activity involving a car and caught him in the midst of dealing.
Officers found Dominik Chlebek in the driver’s seat of the BMW after they were called out to a location, just off London Road in Newark, during the early hours of the morning.
After Chlebek was detained and stop-searched he was found to be in possession of two tin foil wraps containing a white rock-like substance, which turned out to be the Class B drug Amphetamine, two bags of pills, which proved to be Class A drug MDMA, three sealed bags of cannabis, a quantity of cash, and a dealer’s list.
The 41-year old was arrested and his mobile phone was seized.
A flat in Yorke Drive, Newark, which was linked to Chlebek, was subsequently searched.
There officers found more drugs and paraphernalia, including packets containing MDMA and tablets of the Class A drug, a digital scale, and a quantity of sim cards.
Chlebek, of Yorke Drive, went on to plead guilty to possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, following his arrest on 26 December 2020. He also admitted further charges of supplying Amphetamine and Cannabis in Nottingham, between 1 October 2020 and 26 December 2020.
He was locked up for three years when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Friday (9 August).
PC Haddon Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Chlebek was clearly a prolific drug dealer who was selling at least three drugs to customers on a regular basis.
"I’m glad that this investigation led to a large amount of cannabis, cocaine and cash being taken off the streets and that another drug dealer has been taken out of the supply chain.
"Drug dealing destroys people’s lives and causes utter misery in our communities, so I’m pleased our investigation resulted in harmful drugs being removed from our streets and Chlebek is now serving time behind bars for his criminal endeavours.”
