A Nottingham man is due to appear before magistrates after being charged as part of a police investigation into disorder.
Paul Dixon, of Broadwood Road, Bestwood, has been charged with committing a section 4 Public Order Act offence and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).
The 35-year-old will appear before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 15 August).
The offences are alleged to have occurred in Nottingham city centre on August 3 during pre-planned protests near Old Market Square.
