Police were called to Manvers Street, Nottingham, after reports a man had fallen from a building.
Officers attended the address around 3.45am today (2 August) after being alerted to the incident by paramedics.
The man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene around 4am despite the efforts of emergency services.
Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“My thoughts are with this man’s family at a very difficult time.
“We do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
“Police remain at the scene and if anyone has any concerns please speak to an officer. They are there to help.”
