Nottinghamshire Police can confirm that a body has been recovered from the River Trent in Nottingham.
Officers were called to Lady Bay Bridge at around 12.30pm on Thursday (8 August) following reports that a body was seen in the River Trent.
This led to the closure of Lady Bay Bridge whilst officers searched the area.
Unfortunately, the body of a deceased man was recovered. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
