Detectives investigating a stabbing inside a busy city bar have placed a third suspect before magistrates.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident at the Skybar, inside The Cornerhouse, in Forman Street, Nottingham, shortly before 10pm on Saturday 6 July.
Following treatment he has now been discharged.
Mackel Hibbert-Loftman, aged 31, of Beauvale Road, Nottingham, has become the third man to be charged with committing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to the incident.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (31 July) and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 9 August 2024.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This charge is another important step in our investigation.
“Violence has no place in our city’s night time economy and our robust response shows how seriously we take incidents of this nature.”
