A suspect has been arrested after a woman suffered a stab wound during a disturbance outside a home.
Police were called to Morris Road, Strelley, Nottingham, around 5.45pm yesterday (29 August) after paramedics reported the woman had been stabbed in the arm.
Officers arrived at the scene to find a group of people had gathered in the street.
The woman was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
A 27-year-old woman, who is known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Although incidents of this nature understandably cause concern in communities, we believe the people involved were known to each other.
“We also do not believe there is any wider risk to residents in the neighbourhood.
“Although we have made an arrest, our investigation remains ongoing and we still want to hear from anyone with any information.
“We’d particularly urge anyone with any relevant mobile phone, doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
