Four people were arrested and drugs, cash and a firearm seized following coordinated raids on two homes.
Police executed simultaneous warrants at properties in Rushworth Close and Heaton Close, St Ann’s, Nottingham, on Tuesday (3 December).
After forcing open the doors the City South neighbourhood policing team found Class A and Class B drugs inside the Heaton Close address.
Wraps of suspected heroin and cocaine were found concealed in an oven in the kitchen.
Two men, aged 34 and 40, were found inside the home and were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.
At Rushworth Close, officers found further large amounts of Class B drugs and cash, as well as a gas-powered BB gun on a bedside table.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of a firearm.
Officers also overheard conversations about deleting messages and data on a mobile phone, which resulted in another woman, aged 24, being detained on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Police Constable Betty Shone, of the City South neighbourhood policing team, said:
“Neighbourhood officers work closely within the community and we suspected both these properties were being used to deal drugs.
“Our suspicions proved correct and it was no surprise to find drugs when we carried out these raids.
“Disrupting drug-related crime is a priority for the neighbourhood team in St Ann’s because of the impact it has on the wider community.
“If you are aware that drug crime is being committed in your neighbourhood please get in touch with police on 101.”
